If you’re interested in a different race, running in the dark, and trying to set a state running record then check out #Sweatfest. Hosted by OMRR and a unique opportunity to set a Missouri State record. The course is certified for the 2-mile, 5 mile and 10-mile course. OMRR picked these odd distances because a lot of road races are not run at these distances, so you have a better chance of getting a MO state record AND a PR!
Listen to John Everett talk about this unique race on the latest episode of The FITCAT Few:
You can also participate in an opt-in sweat-off challenge. If you sweat a lot when you run and want to show just how sweaty you are, then this is the chance to prove it! Come claim your sweaty title for the 5 mile or the 10-mile distance and brag to your friends that you ARE the sweatiest of them all! Last year’s winners lost more than 2% of their body weight! Can you beat that? The person that sweats the most during the race, gets a unique prize!
OMRR hosts this race to benefit the Strafford School Foundation. Which is currently in need of school supplies for the 2019/2020 school year. Items most commonly requested: Backpacks, Pen/Paper, Folders and 3-Ring Binders, Scientific Calculators, Composition Notebooks. Primary Grades Require: Paste, Crayons, Glue Sticks, Note Cards, Colored Pencils, Rulers. MONETARY DONATIONS ALSO ACCEPTED! Bring your items to packet pickup or race evening to be donated. ActNow Racing will be timing the events.
