Stuff, stuff, and more stuff! I must admit that I like stuff. Not on a greedy level of consumption. It’s mostly that I enjoy being surrounded by things that reflect my personality, instill a mood, or something that someone gave to me because they wanted to.
There’s even a sense of security that can come with being surrounded by stuff. Hoarding becomes a disorder when extreme distress occurs when attempting to part with items. While it’s nice to have comfortable surroundings, be mindful when it’s time to seek uncharted territory.
The idea of moving beyond your comfort zone can be simple and small in gesture. Removing tangible things from our surroundings doesn’t rid them of the precious memories they hold or the feelings they generate. It does, however, allow for new growth to have room to take root. ~trvw
