It’s interesting to see how someone perceives GRIT. I put together an acronym for it, “G.R.I.T.” – (G)orgeous (R)esilient (I)ntelligent (T)enacious. These characteristics are powerful traits that I believe to be the foundation for many successful people. Sometimes I use synonyms like “tough” instead of “tenacious” or “respect” for “resilient, whatever works for the situation. Kesta and Jeri first shared their thoughts on the topic and now Melissa Martinez takes a turn. Melissa is a lot of things to her community like running coach, distance runner, woman of faith, mother, child of God, and just as important with one word – friend. Enjoy her thoughts on what it means to have GRIT. ~trvw
