The FITCAT crew is meeting next Sunday, September 16 for a casual walk/run. This is free for the community and an opportunity for people to get active. Sometimes motivation from a group can help establish fitness habits. Learn more about the Soul to Sole Community Walk/Run.
Meet FITCAT Ambassador and one of the board of directors, Trina.
“You have to be your own health advocate! I’ve said that for a long time and while it’s true, it’s also wonderful to have a supportive community to help along the way. Choosing a healthy lifestyle takes effort and forming good habits. As someone that has several health obstacles, it can be discouraging to try to maintain whole health when it feels like my body rebels no matter my efforts. However, I do believe that the alternative would leave me worse off. I believe that I am able to function as well as I do because I work to stay active and to be healthy from the inside, out. That’s why I am so passionate about connecting the community with the tools to be the best version of themselves that they can be. I want to bridge the gap between the perceived daunting task of being a healthy person with the opportunities that we have right in our community. I hope to see you at FITCAT events soon. Doing all I can to help you Be Better, have GRIT, and find an extra measure of faith if you need it! ~trvw
