Lauren on Be Better with Trina

My art teacher taught us that we should respect art even if we didn’t like it. It’s easier to respect a creation when you understand the hardship involved in producing a finished piece of work. When we make an effort to understand another person, or even ourselves, it opens up opportunity for compassion. If the space still lacks empathy upon learning more, hopefully respect can fill the void in the least.

Wanting to be better is great. Trying to do it when you’ve just been diagnosed with bipolar II and already have an autoimmune disease can make it feel like an insurmountable obstacle. Lauren wanted to be better for her kids, husband, and herself. She is trying to understand herself and hope others will, too. Listen to how she’s working to be better and how her faith is a factor.
