Happy Things

Today was the first time I’ve ran outside this year. I’ve been training on the treadmill at a manageable pace in an effort to recover from long covid. It was wonderful. Running outside is one of my favorite things because it feeds my soul with fresh air and freedom. My goal is to get back into race shape and even though I get terrible pre-race anxiety, it’s like no other experience. It’s how I feel alive. I want to come back alive.
