Unique, Glorious, Lovely, You. Own your U.G.L.Y. Here’s the thing, it’s early and my make-up is fresh, hair is done and I think I look OK at a glance and head off to work. By the time I arrive my hair pin is not in the same place I left it so I go to fix it and realize the scar on my forehead shows much more with the way I’m pulling my hair away from it today. I don’t necessarily try to hide it but I don’t highlight it either. Scars are supposed to be ugly flaws but I have always liked them a little bit. I think because there’s probably a story behind it and nobody can have the same scar as someone else has. You can have a similar one but it’s not going to be the exact same mark and it’s not going to have came to be in the same exact way. There are a lot of things about the way I look that should, by normal standards, make me ugly. I fight some of those, or better put, I work to come to terms with those; while others, I embrace and actually like. I hope you own your U.G.L.Y. and help some one see their U.G.L.Y. , too! ~trvw
