Geez, the roller-coaster! So two weeks ago I felt better than ever. I had several weeks of stronger workouts, running felt great again, and energy had returned, as well as the ability to take deep breaths. I decided it was time to try to get off of the verapamil with my doctors approval. All good. Then came the fatigue, the less powerful workout and runs, and even more labored breathing. So, is it because of the harder workouts the week prior or the medication stopping? I’m worried about a setback. I want to race again so badly but not if it means humiliating myself. I realize I need to start back somewhere and it will be different but I’d like it to be somewhat familiar. I think I will know when my body is ready to race, I just wish it would hurry up and say GO!
